Inclusive Spaces Workshop
The Utah Domestic Violence Coalition is delighted to announce that its first collaborative workshop with the Inclusion Center for Community and Justice will be held on Tuesday 4th February at the New Hope Crisis Center in Brigham City.
Who can attend?
This day long workshop is open to anyone working in the domestic violence field as well as community members.
What the day involves
This interactive workshop is geared towards gaining a collective understanding and comprehension of social, cultural, economic and political conflicts between people, communities and societies at large.
Participants will engage in self awareness activities and identity work while working towards the understanding of larger structures and systems. The aim is to identify the crucial community issues that divide and unite us and which ultimately, whether we are aware of this or not, can have an impact on whether victims of domestic violence/sexual assault are able to access services and the responses they encounter in our communities.
Participants will be invited to evaluate the day so that the day's learning points can be identified and New Hope Crisis Center and community partners can continue any dialogue started/ address any matters of concern for the community.
