UTAH EMPLOYERS AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (UEADV)
What is UTAH EMPLOYERS AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (UEADV)?
Utah Employers Against Domestic Violence (UEADV) is the corporate membership program of the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition (UDVC), a nonprofit that aims to end domestic violence in Utah through advocacy, education, collaboration, and leadership.
UEADV focuses on helping companies create safe and productive work environments that provide a supportive space for victims of domestic violence to get assistance. The program also serves as a collaboration of employers working and learning from each other on how to help stop domestic violence. These efforts create a safer workplace for all employees.
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men are victims of domestic violence.
- The cost of Intimate Partner Violence over a victim’s lifetime is estimated to be $103,767 for women and $23,414 for men.
- The Department of Labor reports that victims of domestic violence lose nearly 8 million days of paid work per year in the U.S., resulting in a $1.8 billion loss in productivity for employers.
